The main purpose of the injection moulding system is to allow the molten material to move to the moulding elements. The filling can be done through two types of channels, cold or hot. It should be noted that the hot runner has the advantage of having no material waste in the feed system, however it is more expensive.
Success in the thermoplastic injection process is directly connected to the knowledge of the flow of the molten material in the mould channels. In this way, the injection points should be placed in the most convenient way since it should provide the best flow conditions. Regarding the piece, the mark left by them should not affect the efficiency and aesthetics of the product.
